These terms describe the free calculator-only release provided by MuslimFin Family Office (Pty) Ltd. Last updated 24 September 2026.
Independent review status
MuslimFin's director confirms that both calculators have been reviewed and approved. These terms are not a legal opinion. Use the app as an educational aid and obtain qualified advice before acting on a result.
What the app provides
MuslimFin Calculators provides supported Islamic-inheritance scenario calculations and educational Zakah estimates. The app is a learning and decision-support tool, not a fatwa, Shariah approval, financial recommendation, legal opinion, tax opinion, will, estate account or instruction to distribute assets.
The supported formulas, assumptions and stop-for-review cases are described on the Method & limitations page. A displayed result does not mean that every religious, ownership, family, tax or estate-administration issue has been resolved.
Your responsibility before acting
Enter only information you are entitled to use, and check every input before relying on an estimate.
Use fictional examples for teaching, demonstrations and school or nonprofit sessions.
Do not use the app to impersonate another person, misrepresent a result or facilitate unlawful activity.
Do not transfer, pay or distribute assets solely from a calculator result.
Confirm the relevant school, assumptions and exceptional circumstances with a qualified Shariah adviser. For an estate, also obtain appropriate South African legal, tax and estate-administration advice.
Accounts, calculator entries and connectivity
This calculator-only release does not offer an account or sign-in. Calculator entries and results remain in memory while the relevant screen is open and are cleared when you leave that screen or close the app. The app does not save calculation history or create a cloud backup.
The calculation itself does not call a calculation API, and the current app contains no advertising, behavioural tracking or product-analytics SDK. A hosted website still needs ordinary network access to load; app stores, the website host and any email you choose to send operate in separate contexts described in the Privacy notice.
Availability, corrections and updates
Software may contain defects or be unavailable on a particular device. A credible calculation, privacy or usability concern may require MuslimFin to correct the shared calculator source, pause promotion or release a store update.
A website correction does not automatically update an installed iPhone or Android app. Check the app version and method page when reviewing an important result. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a specific support response time.
Scope: app version 0.1.0. Material changes to calculations, data handling, accounts, payments, advertising or analytics require updated disclosures.

Self-service support guidance is available in the app. You may contact ali@muslimfin.co.za. Do not include identity documents, wills, account numbers or real family and financial details when a fictional or redacted example can reproduce the issue.
